They are particularly necessary and come recommended by physicians and nutritionists to boost the immune system and help the health of organs. The data shows that many more lives are at stake from succumbing to brain damage and coma.

Omega-3 is widely researched and it leaves no doubt that it helps the brain heal faster after traumatic head injuries. Fish are the biggest producers of Omega-3. Omega-3 fats are another form of supplements that are recommended for anyone willing to improve their general health lifestyles.

A quick search on the internet shows several thousand results with brain trauma and the recovery seen after use of omega-3 oils. Omega-3 fats help fight inflammation in the body and have the ability to reduce swelling in the brain. Traumatic brain injuries can be persistent for an extensive period.

Doctors and physicians who have prescribed the supplement to aid in the reduction of swelling and improve the recovery of brain injury recommend omega-3 be administered in high doses to prove useful. Often enough, injuries, wounds, and diseases occur where traditionally manufactured medicine cannot offer a cure. Omega-3 oils and fats are abundant in wild fish and krill. Farmed fish such as farm-raised salmon only contain half the required amount of omega-3 and is unsuitable to use as a supplement for brain injury and head trauma.
